With their latest development, Hearth, an organization focused on solutions to the problem of elder homelessness in Boston and beyond, has increased the supply of their supportive housing by over 40 percent. This development, which has fifty nine units, will give elders the opportunity to live with considerable independence, and at a lower cost to the larger community than if they lived on the streets, in shelters, or moved prematurely into skilled nursing environments.
